I was recently on a website that sold juggling equipment and fire stuff and they had a dancing fire cane for sale. Similar to a flow wand (flowtoys.com). Anyone know the site (i lost it)?

OMG, that rocks! Prisna of flowtoys.com is playing with it. She'd know for sure, and if she doesn't sell them, she can probably tell you where to get one. Prisna may be out until April 3 though. I'd send her a message through flowtoys or whatever networking sites she may be on. If someone does find out, post it here. I suddenly have fire-flowwand envy :) -

Fri, March 21, 2008 - 1:14 PMI was just thinking that I had some extra kevlar, and it couldn't be too hard to do. Thanks! Maybe some day it would be fun to get together and build some stuff...I need to do that really soon anyway.

Re: Fire Dancing Cane
Wed, March 26, 2008 - 7:43 PMI can't remember the site name, that's why i posted it here because i thought someone would know. It isn't a popular fire site that I know of (as i can't find it again). I found it while searching for something relating to juggling.
They definitely had the fire cane for sale though and I believe it was around $30. -

Re: old dog to teach us some new tricks
Tue, April 15, 2008 - 10:50 AMI just made 2 Daniel, here's some pointers.
Hole placement is crucial, as is having the string run through the dead center of the pole, both vertical AND horizontally. You may need to play with the weight a bit, I used longer dowel on the bottom, but also a screw in the bottom wick cuz it wasn't enough. A good gauge is just to grip the pole where you think the string should go loosely by your index and thumb, and simply move it up down side to side (in the direction of the gaps in the fingers, so you can see if it wants to tilt in the air). If you move it and it goes caddywompus on it's own, you either need more weight on the bottom or just to move the string up or down. I know there's an exact science to this but I don't do exact. Keep playing with it, and eventually it'll work.
